Deadline pushed back one day from 2020
InPost, Europe’s leading ecommerce delivery platform, will guarantee deliveries to its Automated Parcel Machines by 24 December for parcels sent through the end of 22 December, becoming the only Polish logistics operator to offer this service.
The service level pledge has become a holiday tradition at InPost, starting in 2019 with a guarantee for packages sent by 20 December, with the deadline pushed back to 21 December last year. “No one else in Poland’s logistics industry can offer this kind of guarantee, which allows consumers to order their presents up to the last minute,” said
InPost CEO Rafał Brzoska. “The holiday rush is always a challenge for the entire e-commerce value chain, but we’re very well prepared to meet the seasonal increase in demand. This should give consumers greater flexibility and peace of mind that their presents will arrive on time.” InPost is also offering same-day delivery at no extra charge in 20 cities. Already up to ¾ of parcels receive same-day service in Warsaw and Łódź , which are now joined by Białystok, Bielsko-Biała, Bydgoszcz, Częstochowa, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Gliwice, Katowice, Krakow, Lublin, Olsztyn, Poznań, Radom, Rzeszów, Sosnowiec, Szczecin, Toruń and Wrocław. InPost’s Automated Parcel Machines are the most environmentally friendly delivery method for online purchases. Analysis by InPost indicates that use of APMs cuts CO2 emissions by as much as 75% compared to home deliveries; in 2020 alone, the use of APMs saved more than 180,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions. InPost continues expanding and optimising the APM network, helping improve air quality and protect the climate.
