InPost Group gains new European market partners

InPost, the leader among European e-commerce delivery platforms, introduces Paczkomaty^® parcel lockers and implements the most innovative solutions in France and the United Kingdom. This is a strategic step in the Group's European market growth. The Group has expanded its activities and acquired new partners.

InPost Group subsidiary Mondial Relay, the French leader in the out of home (OOH) and alternative delivery points (PUDO) markets, has significantly expanded its Paczkomat^® parcel locker network using InPost know-how. Popular supermarket Lidl is one of Mondial Relay's partners in France and the 1000th Paczkomat^® parcel locker machine was installed at the brand’s Dunkirk location.
E-commerce companies, including the biggest players and retailers with points of sale offering customers an innovative delivery method, value Mondial Relay's experience. Paczkomaty^® parcel lockers are becoming increasingly popular in France. The French appreciate their safety and positive impact on ecology, as well as the speed of parcel collection, which requires only a few seconds.

"Our main goal in the UK is to develop the Paczkomaty ^® parcel locker network - although we already have more of them in London, Manchester and Birmingham than there are Royal Mail facilities. Meanwhile, we are working on educating consumers about the advantages of Paczkomat ^®parcel lockers in France, which are available 24/7. We are assisted by our partners, who see tangible benefits in parcel locker installation at their locations," says Rafał Brzoska, InPost founder and CEO.

In the UK, InPost signed new contracts with established partners that offer extensive reach. In addition to Tesco and Westfield, InPost parcel machines will be available at WHSmith locations. WHSmith is a leading global retailer offering books, periodicals and stationery. Customers of the iconic network will now be able to collect, send or return packages while purchasing bestselling books and stationery supplies.

Also in the UK, InPost has partnered with Transport for London (TfL), the public transport organisation responsible for the London Underground, among other things. Paczkomaty ^® parcel lockers are located mainly within TfL car parks, close to metro and train stations, providing the local community and people using public transport with a convenient and more environmentally-friendly way to receive and send parcels as part of their daily commutes around the capital.

InPost is consistently extending its leading position in environmentally-friendly solutions, and the Paczkomaty^® parcel locker network expansion naturally contributes to reducing the carbon footprint throughout Europe. A single Paczkomat ^® parcel locker “eliminates” up to the same amount of carbon dioxide per day as nine trees “filter” over twelve months. Fifty-two kilograms of carbon dioxide is about the amount emitted by the daily commute of 44 people.
